MAKEUP BOOKING POLICY
Minimum of 3 people is required for all makeup group bookings.
(e.g. Bridal Party: Bride + 2 x Bridesmaids/family members/guests)
Enquiries for smaller groups are welcome, as long as the client/s are happy to accept the $300 minimum spend amount.
Emily sometimes works alongside another makeup artist for larger group bookings. All brides will be done by Emily unless we’ve agreed otherwise.
BEAUTY BOOKING POLICY (manicures, pedicures & spray tans)
Minimum spend requirement for beauty only group bookings is $300 per day.
Manicure, Pedicure & Spray Tan treatments can be combined to meet minimum spend requirement.
CUSTOM PACKAGES
When booking a combination of makeup and beauty services, both policies still apply.
We are happy to meet your individual needs and understand each booking is unique. So please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions/concerns or a tailored quote.
ADDITIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST/BEAUTY THERAPIST(S)
Please feel free to request an additional makeup artist or beauty therapist to your booking so that you can have treatments done together, instead of one after the other. I am lucky enough to have a short list of friends/colleagues in the industry at my disposal for these circumstances. This option will depend on their individual availability on your booking date and will be confirmed with you at initial enquiry.

PAYMENT
The total payment amount (including any relevant travel expenses) will be agreed between by both parties in writing.
A $50 non-refundable security deposit is required for all bookings.
Upon confirmation of deposit payment, your booking date/times are secured and confirmed. The date will not be available for others to book.
Please note that Emily does not hold any bookings for clients that have not paid their security deposit.By proceeding to pay a security deposit, you accept that you are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions.
The security deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable under any circumstances. (except as otherwise provided under these Terms and Conditions)
The security deposit is deducted from the total cost of the booking.
The outstanding balance can be paid by:
Cash on the day of your booking (preferred method of payment)
Direct deposit within 7 days of your booking (please use your name as the reference)
Early payment is not accepted. Please don’t transfer full payment earlier than this time frame, unless agreed by both parties.
EARLY MORNING STARTS
An early morning start surcharge will apply if i am required to travel/commence service before 6:30am.
4:00 - 5:00am start: +$150
5:00 - 6:30am start: +$100
TRAVEL
A travel fee applies to all bookings outside a 50km radius of my home base.
The fee will be dependent on kilometres travelled as well as other travel requirements, such as accomodation. Please don’t hesitate to contact me for a quote.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY SURCHARGE
Bookings made on a public holiday (weekend) will incur an additional $50 fee on top of regular charges.
ie. Easter, Australia Day, New Years Eve/Day, Anzac Day, Boxing Day etc.
ALL PRICES ARE:
- calculated per person
- in AUD
- subject to change without notice
- at a fixed rate and are non-negotiable
- valid for bookings in the year 2024 only
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations of any bookings by you must be communicated to Emily in writing.
Upon cancellation of your booking, for any reason, will forfeit any deposits made.
Cancellations, of any reason, with less than 4 weeks notice will be charged at 50% of total cost of the booking.
This is necessary to cover administration costs and compensate for my inability to service other clients on the date of your booking.
CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING
If you need to change the date of your booking due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond your reasonable control, then i may (subject to my availability and in my absolute discretion) agree to transfer your security deposit to a new booking.
Reductions to your booking, such as less people and/or services originally quoted for, need to be communicated with and confirmed by Emily at least 2 weeks prior to your booking date, otherwise the original total amount quoted still applies and needs to be paid in full.
Alterations/additions to your booking, such as extra people/services, are welcome as long as it is communicated with and confirmed by Emily prior to the day of booking with sufficient notice. To ensure availability and correct scheduling.
In all other circumstances, changing the date of your booking will be treated as a cancellation.
POSTPONEMENTS
If a postponement occurs and your new booking date is 12+ months ahead of time, a revised quote may be issued to reflect possible pricing changes. If I am unavailable for your new date, a credit may be issued for future bookings and i will be happy to assist you in finding a replacement makeup artist.
TIMINGS
Timing will vary depending on the services required and the technical and individual requirments of the client. If you have a particular schedule, please let me know when you make the booking (or as soon as possible thereafter) so i can take this into account.
I will notify you of my arrival time on the complimentary schedule i provide you when the booking is confirmed. Adhering to the confirmed schedule of timings is critical to ensure that i am able to provide my services effectively. Therefore, should unforeseen circumstances arise you are responsible for advising me as soon as possible. I am not responsible if your desired completion time is not met due to client/group/wedding party delays.
If i am required to stay beyond the agreed completion time due to delays outside of my control (and provided i don’t have any other bookings or commitments) you will be charged $50 per half hour exceeded.
REFUNDS
I do not offer refunds for any completed services. If you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on you to notify me during your booking.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Neither myself nor my assistants are, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. You are liable to give me advanced notice if you or any of your group/wedding party have particular hypersensitivity to any makeup or products.
All nail equipment, makeup brushes and products are kept sanitary and are sanitised between each and every client.
Neither myself or my assistants accept liability for any claims arising out of misuse. Allergic reactions, or any injury suffered as a result of the consenting use of the products and equipment that i provide. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, you release my assistants and i from all liability if such a situation should arise.
Both myself and my assistants reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, to stop work if any clients display antisocial behaviour, contagious or viral symptoms, or any other behaviour/symptoms that make us feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
For their own safety, children in attendance at the booking are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Neither myself or my assistants accept liability from any claims arising from any injury sustained by a child while in the service area.
GST
By Emily Makeup and Beauty’s individual prices do not include GST. All quotes, invoices and totals will have GST included in the total.
THEFT/DAMAGE
Damage to or theft of my property caused by any person (including children), requires on the spot compensation for the full value of the relevant item plus shipping costs.
PRIVACY
in accordance with Data Protection Laws, all client data is kept securely and destroyed 6 months after the event. Emily will never pass the clients data to a third party in any circumstances. Neither party shall use the other party’s confidential information for any purpose other than to perform its obligations under the booking.
PHOTO RELEASE
I reserve the right to take photographic evidence or film records of any of the makeup applications or beauty services provided, and you may use any such photographs or videos for promotional and/or commercial purposes. As the client you agree that Emily may use any and all photographs, video, audio and other media that is captured and recorded by Emily or any other third party hired by the client, specifically photographer and videographers. This will permit Emily to use such recorded media to be displayed on its website and/or marketing materials, flyers and other advertisement media. The client agrees to release the name and contact information of the hired third party photographer/s and/or videographer/s used for recording any event for which Emily has been contracted to provide beauty services for.
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Australia and shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
Once you have made a booking and/or paid a security deposit you are legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
