Frequently Asked Questions

What you need to know

  • A unique skill set is required to perform bridal makeup.
Not only does the makeup itself require more time, you are also receiving months, if not a year long, ongoing communication leading up to your wedding day.
Being your bridal makeup artist with 10 years experience in the industry, means booking and committing to your date up to a year out, and working outside of traditional working hours meaning I do not take on any other work on the day of your wedding.
I am more than just a makeup artist on your wedding day, so that along with increased responsibility and admin plays a factor into the inflated cost of bridal makeup.

  • Click ‘Enquire Now’ and follow the prompts.

This acts as an enquiry form, not a confirmed booking. Please list all questions that you have and I’ll be in touch within 24 hours.

  • Yes, however there is a minimum spend requirement for all bookings. If you are happy to pay this and your date is available for a booking, then you are most welcome to make a booking for one person.

  • Short answer – Yes!

Long answer – Obviously there is only one of me. However, I’m lucky enough to have a shortlist of beauty therapist friends that I can call upon to help out in these situations, so that you can have your treatments done together and in a timely manner. No booking is too big, don’t be afraid to enquire!

  • First and foremost - we work around you and your schedule! You let us know your personal preferences. However, here are some preferred options:

    • OPTION 1 – In an ideal situation; I/we would arrive the afternoon before your event/wedding to do your spray tans and nail treatments. I/we would stay overnight and then do your makeup in the morning. However, we understand it doesn’t always work out this way.

    • OPTION 2 - Have your nail treatments and/or spray tans done earlier in the week, or on separate days.
No worries, we cater to your needs. Just keep in mind a travel fee will apply to each booking made on different days, and minimum booking requirements must be met on each occasion. Simply fill in the enquiry form to receive a personalised quote.

    • OPTION 3 – All in one day. Yes, it’s possible! Our spray tan solution works fast. If your event is in the afternoon/evening, we can schedule your appointments throughout the day and finish just in time for you to walk out the door to your event!

No matter which booking option you choose, we create a complimentary schedule for you, to eliminate the hassle of organising everything and everyone for their individual appointment times. Once the booking is confirmed, we email this to you to approve, keep and share.

  • I use a wide variety of professional brands and products in my kit. Some of my favourites are: Giorgio Armani, M.A.C, NARS, Hourglass Cosmetics and Charlotte Tilbury.

We cater for all skin types and needs, including sensitive skin.

  • In our 90-minute appointment, we will discuss ideas for makeup. We will offer our vision but if you’ve got photos or pictures of makeup that you love, please don’t hesitate to bring them along. If you have pictures of your wedding dress, that would help as well.

A makeup trial is highly recommended but not essential. It is great for anyone who is unsure and wants to discuss and explore different options and it will also ensure that the morning of your wedding runs smoothly and stress-free.

  • Don’t try any new facial treatments or skincare products in the month leading up to your wedding day, incase of any unexpected allergic reactions or skin sensitivities. Stick to your usual skincare routine.

    THE WEEK OF

    • I recommended for no facial waxing to be performed within 5 days of your makeup, as It may affect the makeup consistency on your skin and its lasting effect.

    • Use lip balm regularly throughout the week, for soft flake-free lips/lipstick on the day.

    THE NIGHT BEFORE

    • I encourage you to gently cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise your face. Smooth hydrated skin is key to achieving flawless makeup application.

    THE MORNING OF

    • Do your usual skincare routine, at the least apply a moisturiser.

    • I will apply skincare for you as part of the preparation for your makeup.

    • Avoid wearing any makeup to your appointment, removing it will cut into application time.

    • Make sure you wear something loose fitting or button/zip up, to avoid damaging your makeup.

    • Bring some inspo pics! These come in handy if there’s a particular makeup look you want to achieve.

  • To get the best glow and a streak-free natural fake tan, we recommend that you…

    24 hours before:

    • Remove all body hair

    • Exfoliate top-to-toe (paying special attention to the dry skin areas such as knees, elbows, ankles & wrists)

    • Lightly moisturise your whole body (for an even tan, you should keep your skin moisturised and nourished)

On the day of your appointment:

    • Prep is key! Skip the deodorant and perfumes, as well as heavy face moisturisers or makeup so the skin is a bare canvas, ready for the spray tan solution.

    • Scale back on underwear (especially if your dress/outfit is low back). We provide disposable G-Strings to ensure the least lines as possible. However, you’re more than welcome to wear your own underwear of choice.

    • Bring some loose dark clothing to wear afterwards. Tight fitting clothes can cause your tan to be streaky and patchy.

  • We use the brand CND (the OG and in my opinion, the best in the nail biz!)

We offer Shellac and Vinylux nail polish in our Manicure and Pedicure treatments.

Shellac is a gel polish cured under an LED lamp that sets and dries instantly, giving you long term wear of up to 3 weeks on fingers and much longer on toes. The perfect chip-free option for brides-to-be.

Vinylux is a regular nail polish, no light needed. Vinylux is a simple 2-step system that is quick drying and hardy! The system consists of an all-in-one base & colour coat and a top coat. Designed to give you a vinyl-like finish; ultimate durability with a high gloss shine.

What we don’t offer - SNS or acrylic. We like to work in harmony with your natural nail, not against it, as much as we possibly can. Our goal is to care for your nail health and not cause damage to your natural nail, whilst providing our treatments. We use nail-friendly application and removal procedures.
